The festival Theater der Welt 2023 supports an inclusive society where persons with disabilities and chronic sickness have equal opportunities of access and participation. However, there are still many barriers that need to be removed for more people to feel comfortable with us.
We are currently developing an accessibility policy together with experts with personal experience as part of a holistic process that will go beyond the minimum requirements enshrined in law to include spatial and communicative accessibility measures. All the festival staff are trained to understand and implement the needs of disabled visitors as well as they possibly can.
Full information about accessibility will be published on our website shortly.

Quiet Zone at the Museum Angewandte Kunst
During the festival period, a Quiet Zone will be set up in the Museum Angewandte Kunst.
The Quiet Zone on the 2nd floor offers a relaxed atmosphere to rest for a moment or to decompress from tensions caused by overstimulation or intense content. We kindly ask you to be considerate towards others while using this space.
The route to the Quiet Zone is signposted and accessible without steps via an elevator. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our front-of-house staff.
To use the Quiet Zone a day pass is mandatory.
More informations about accessibility will be available soon!
